Strategies
  1. The task will give you ten seconds to scan the options. Briskly read them, not thoroughly at this stage.
  2. Do not read the choices while the audio is playing. Listen intently to the recording, write some notes, and pick the option that is as close as what you have written down.
  3. Write down content words, names, dates, or anything that provides meaning and substance. You may disregard less significant words such as articles and prepositions. Make use of abbreviations and arrows so you can write as much information as you can.
  4. If you are not comfortable writing notes while listening, direct your eyes to the options.
  5. Eliminate the options that contain incorrect information and facts or details not mentioned at all.
  6. Eliminate the options that talk about only one idea from the recording.
  7. Choose the response that best summarizes the whole recording. It is concise and covers the most relevant information.
