You can sit PTE Academic at any test center around the globe. Pearson uses the PTE Academic Scoring system in all its test centers which means that whether you will take the test in London or Sydney, you will earn the same score.
Pearson advises test takers to read the Test Taker Handbook or check their web page, https://pearsonpte.com/acceptable-id/, which contains the Acceptable ID Policy, If you are scheduled to take the exam outside your home country, the test administrator might ask you to show your passport.
If you are already situated in Australia on another visa (for example, tourist or student) and would like to apply for permanent residency, you don’t have to book a flight to your home country. Pearson gives the test takers the liberty to choose whichever country they’d like to sit the exam as long as they hold a valid visa and can show an acceptable identification document.
Those who have taken PTE Academic a couple of times and at different test centers may have already compared the seat arrangement, level of noisiness and number of candidates of these areas. These factors might be considered when performing the Speaking test. The more people that are there, the noisier the room will become and your concentration level can be adversely affected.
